Happiness - Are you pursuing it?

We chase jobs that provide 'satisfaction at the end of the day,' money that enables us to lead a comfortable life, relationship that's mutually beneficial but do we pursue happiness? We define objectives when searching for the right job, define parameters for the right partner but do we define our happiness. Well, most of us don't.
Happiness, for most, is a result of something materialistic. We buy a car, go for holidays and turn happy. For some, happiness is a result of yelling at someone. Shouldn't there be more meaning to happiness? One way of achieving this is to approach each and every task with the end-objective of being happy. The obvious question would be - can we always maintain this objective. Say, am delayed is submitting my project, how'd I be happy?
Simple - understand the repurcusions of being delayed and be ready to face the flak. Set new deadlines and catch up with it. When you already know the result - you can be better prepared, right? It's just like waiting for your new car...move on in life, that's the mantra.
